Scanbase is a powerful scanning management package that allows you to capture and store images in a wide variety industry standard file formats. Scanned files can be stored in any location connected to the host device - locally or globally.

Tools like batch scanning and auto file numbering speed up the digitising process significantly: the combination of a KIP scanner and Scanbase allows you to scan an A0 drawing and save it as a standard TIFF group 4 file in under 6 seconds.

Other tools are provided to streamline high-volume scanning, including scan to drawing number, scan to archive and scan to database features further enhance the whole process.

Image editing features are provided via an integral level 1 editor, allowing you to deskew, despeckle, cut copy and paste, crop and merge images and add text. A level 2 editor provides support for multiple drawing editing and merging.

Scanbase also features a built in job submission tool allowing users to compile jobs of various formats and apply printing parameters for submission to Plotbase plot management software.
